Grammy Smiths Valentine's Day Visit!!

We had the most amazing Valentine's Day!! Todd's sister Amy is going to be heading back to Kansas in a few days because her work here in Semi Valley is all done. We are very, very sad! :o(   This prompted an earlier visit by Grammy Smith.  Todd's Mom flew in on Thursday night and joined us Friday morning with Amy before I headed off to work.

Taylor has grown so much since she last saw her! She is over 20 pounds right now. 20.6 to be exact.  We are buying 9-12 month clothing for her and I'm constantly moving things into the 'can't wear' pile in the closet.  Of course Grammy came with Valentine's Day gifts for little Taylor and yummy treats for Todd and I.

So I was off to work and Todd and all of his girls spent the day together.  After Todd left for work Grammy and Aunt Amy were on their own until I got home! They had so much fun.  Taylor has so much personality these days and is really becoming animated and VOCAL to say the least.  We often wonder if we brought home a loud bird from the hospital.  It's ear piercing sometimes.

The entire weekend was so much fun! Todd and his mom were able to spend some time together and Grammy and Aunt Amy had so much fun baby sitting.  I didn't want them to leave! :o) Here is a fun video of Taylor and Grammy!

We have also started to feed the little tiger some rice cereal.  The theory that it keeps them fuller longer and helps them sleep through the night is, to me, just a theory.  She has yet to sleep longer then four hours and is up every two to three hours after midnight.  And she's had a pretty bad cold the past few days so with the congestion she's up every hour.  I'm exhausted to say the least.
Here are a few images of one of our first successful meals:

5 months.....or is it 9?!?

I don't know what is in my milk but we have predicted that Taylor might just go right from preschool into the draft! She is barely fitting into 6 month clothes right now (I give 'em another week) and the 9 month side of the closet is getting warmed up! Oh and forget those adorable little jeans that you see other babies wearing.  I have five pair, a few of them are 12 months, and they don't fit!

But oh my goodness is she adorable! We are having so much fun these days.  She started smiling about two months ago but now comes the laughs and the gasps and the squeals.  And the little monkey is almost rolling over!! She gets about half way and gets stuck! It's hilarious! The second she did it I jumped up and grabbed the camera and captured the first moment. I was such a proud mommy!!

Look at her go!!

She is also sitting up without our help. Ok, so Todd said that she is just resting on her belly, but I said "noooo, she's BALANCING on her belly, BIG difference".  She is so talented!!

Notice how all of her little shirts are showing a little bit of skin around the neck? Well that's not because she thinks she's a sexy little monkey, it's because they are holding on for dear life and only have one more wash before they go into the 'too small' pile.

So far I haven't had to put her into daycare.  We have such a great support team here! Between Auntie Amy, Stephanie, Raquel and my boss at Woodley we have all of our days covered.  On the days that we don't have anyone that can watch her at our place Todd will bring her to the golf course and she becomes our little mascot.  I'll having her sling'n drinks in no time!

For those of you who know me, you know that Valentine's Day is a favorite of mine.  So of course Taylor is fully prepared for the day.......

We are so excited and can't wait for Todd's mom to come visit!!! She is going to be here on the 13th of this month to reintroduce herself to Taylor.  She is going to be in for a shock.  Not only has she doubled in size but she is just such a little character. It's going to be so much fun!

So I have a few videos as well but she is so enamored by the shiny silver from the camera that whatever adorable moment we are trying to capture is suddenly halted.  Todd did manage to get a few seconds of her talking it up the other day.
